Crowcon MULTISCAN++PK

The gas detection system for car parks SPS consists of MULTISCAN++Park control panels and SMART-P gas detectors. Purposely designed to satisfy the European norm EN 50545-1.

The MULTISCAN++Park control panels can manage and monitor up to 256 gas detectors. But it can be customized to the various requests and needs of the field as per the table here below.

Designed according to the new European Standard for gas detection in car parks.

Up to 4 open RS485 (EIA-485) or 2 closed galvanic isolated serial lines

Up to 256 inputs (both 4-20 mA or addressable loop, daisy-chained)

Up to 512 O/C or relay outputs via remote modules and 8 relays on-board the control unit.

Three alarm thresholds can be set for each gas detector being connected and the panels allow alarms to be time averaged in a period adjustable from 5 to 60 minutes for thresholds 1 and 2; while for the third threshold, alarm is to be triggered between 1 to 5 minutes. The panels come complete with 8 analog 4-20 mA inputs on-board the panels and 8 relays (6 output relays for MULTISCAN++PK-16B). The system architecture allows connection to remote 16 output cards STG/OUT16-S and 8-relays boards.

All devices connected to the loops feature galvanic isolation to protect the system from any electric noises coming from the field. A broad range of self-testing facilities are implemented to detect and localize possible faults. The backlit graphic LCD display provides a precise indication of the gas concentration being measured. A RS232C serial port allows the PC connection to the CPU board for the panel configuration and supervision.

Report from the event memory or real time printouts can be obtained by connecting a printer to the parallel printer port. The panels can either be housed in an IP65 ABS box or in a 19” 6U rack.
