Tractel Tracpode 

The Tractel Tracpode is a temporary anchor, tested to stop the fall of two operators weighing 150kg each; encompassing the weight of their equipment and toold. It permits two operators to work in safety. It may also be used as an anchor point for lifting, with the capability to raise a maximum load of 500kg.

It can be folded up and is small enough to be transported in light site vehicles, easy to handle the tracpode is intended for persons who need access to confined spaces such as storage silos, sewers etc. 

Technical Characteristics 

• Made of Aluminium

• Weighs only 23.3kg without accessories

• Maximum height below head is adjustable from 1.78m - 2.73m

• Dependent on height, distance between feet varies from 1.03 - 1.58m

• The length of the legs can be extended in increments of 20cm

• Each leg can receive via tractel leg bracket, a blockfor fall arrest system or a caRol TR/TS winch

• To ensure that winching can be performed at an optimal height, there are three possible mounting locations on the leg of the tracpode; top, middle and bottom

• When a fall arrester or a caRol winch is fitted t one of the legs of the tracpode, a PPE pulley kit or a lifting pulley kit must be fitted to the head

• The head of the tracpode is fitted with three spacer bushes, one for each leg, that prevent the tracpode legs from moving past their open position

• The feet of the tracpode are fitted with non-slip pads made of vulcanised rubber. Holes in these pads can be used to secure the feet to the ground using fasteners or anchor bolts

• A strap can be fitted through the feet of the tracpode, this strap secures the base of the tracpode to prevent the feet splaying out due to the forces generated by the weight.

Tractel Blocfor Fall Arrester

The Blocfor fall arrester with End System Dissipator (ESD) system ensures the user with an impact of less than 600 daN even with a fall where the cable has been completely unwound. The ESD system protects the cable against the risks of rupture or failure which can be caused by the sharp edges found on terrace roofs.

The blocfor can be attached to the tracpode via the 200368 leg bracket

The main advantages of the blocfor automatic fall arresters are:

• The integration of the ESD system at the end of the wire rope eliminates the risk of a violent impact in the event of a fall. Even when a fall occurs when the cable is fully unwound

Tractel caRol Winch

The Tractel caRol winch is a range of rescue equipment with EN1496 class A, with a maximum load of 150kg. The caRol winch meets the requirements of hoisting winches with a maximum load of 250kg.

The winch can be used for work in suspension. if a second fall arrest system is used to conform to EN363.

The caRol winches are provided with an anchor bracket that attaches to the tracpode legs

The winch is available in two capacities; 20m and 30m, both are supplied without cable.
