Sar M0006 Mild Steel Galvanised Dee Maillon Connector

The maillon was initially used by people partaking in caving as a front connection to their sit harness. It allowed the joining of the two webbing loops and also allowed multiple connections of other maillons or karabiners.  It is widely used by the rope access personnel for the same reason it was used in sport, as a front connection point for multiple connections.
