Honeywell Li-ion Tamer LT-ACC-POE-4 Gen 3 4-Port PoE Ethernet Switch

The Honeywell Li-ion Tamer LT-ACC-POE-4 is a 4-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch designed for use within Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 lithium-ion battery off-gas detection systems. It provides both network communication and power distribution for compatible Li-ion Tamer PoE hubs, making it an important component in systems using multiple distributed hubs.

The LT-ACC-POE-4 features four 10/100 RJ45 PoE ports for connection to Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 PoE Hubs, together with an additional 10/100 RJ45 Ethernet port. Through these connections, the switch enables sensor information collected by the hubs to be transmitted across the Li-ion Tamer network to the Gen 3 Controller for central processing and monitoring.

Power over Ethernet simplifies system installation by allowing compatible hubs to receive both power and network connectivity through their Ethernet connection, reducing the requirement for separate power supplies at individual hub locations. This makes the LT-ACC-POE-4 particularly useful for larger or distributed lithium-ion battery monitoring installations.

The switch is an unmanaged industrial Ethernet device and its PoE ports comply with IEEE 802.3af Class 0. It requires a 48–58 VDC input supply and can be used with the Honeywell Li-ion Tamer LT-ACC-PWR-48 48 VDC Power Supply.

System Integration

The LT-ACC-POE-4 is used where Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 PoE Hubs are incorporated into the system. Each of its four PoE ports can provide connectivity for a compatible PoE hub, which can in turn support a daisy chain of Li-ion Tamer Monitoring and Reference Sensors.

This architecture provides a practical way to distribute sensors and hubs throughout battery racks, cabinets and other protected areas while maintaining communication with the central Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 Controller.

Applications

The LT-ACC-POE-4 is suitable for Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 systems protecting lithium-ion battery installations including battery energy storage systems (BESS), data centres, battery rooms, manufacturing facilities and other critical infrastructure.
