Honeywell Li-ion Tamer LT-ACC-POE-24 Gen 3 24-Port PoE Ethernet Switch

The Honeywell Li-ion Tamer LT-ACC-POE-24 is a 24-port Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch designed for larger Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 lithium-ion battery off-gas detection installations. It provides centralised network connectivity and power distribution for compatible Li-ion Tamer PoE hubs, allowing multiple hubs and their associated sensors to be distributed throughout a battery installation.

Featuring 24 × 10/100 RJ45 PoE ports, the LT-ACC-POE-24 provides a scalable means of connecting Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 PoE Hubs to the wider monitoring network. The switch distributes power to connected hubs while enabling information to be communicated from the hubs to the Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 Controller via TCP/IP over Ethernet.

Power over Ethernet simplifies larger system installations by combining power delivery and network communications through Ethernet cabling. This reduces the requirement for individual power supplies at each hub location and makes the LT-ACC-POE-24 particularly suitable for installations containing numerous battery racks, cabinets or monitoring zones.

The LT-ACC-POE-24 is an unmanaged Ethernet switch, providing straightforward integration without requiring complex switch configuration. Its PoE ports meet IEEE 802.3af Class 0 requirements.

Unlike the smaller LT-ACC-POE-4, which requires an external DC power supply, the LT-ACC-POE-24 accepts a 100–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz supply through its C14 IEC power inlet. An optional LT-ACC-POE-24-ADR IEC power adapter is available for installations requiring a screw-terminal power connection.

System Integration

The LT-ACC-POE-24 is designed for larger Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 systems where multiple PoE hubs are required. Connected hubs provide the interface to Li-ion Tamer Monitoring and Reference Sensors distributed around the protected lithium-ion battery installation.

By combining PoE power distribution with Ethernet communications, the switch provides an efficient network architecture for transmitting information from distributed hubs back to the Li-ion Tamer Gen 3 Controller for central processing and monitoring.

Applications

The LT-ACC-POE-24 is particularly suited to larger lithium-ion battery installations, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), data centres, battery rooms, industrial facilities, manufacturing sites and other critical infrastructure requiring distributed early warning monitoring.
